Born and raised in Cabuyao, Laguna, Juneau Yves Cojuangco Silverio, RChT, RCh or Jy was the vice captain of UST Golden Sox in his last year as a Biochemistry major. He recently finished his degree as Summa Cum Laude, despite the hectic life of a student athlete. His interests are mainly influenced by his parents, Junio Silverio, MBio and Ylaine Cojuangco-Silverio, MSc, PhD, who are both esteemed professors in Biology and Chemistry respectively. His father, in particular, inspired Jy to pursue both athletics and sciences. His mother, on the other hand, is Jy's role model in the field of Chemistry.Jy is known for his slightly hyperactive personality, and often likes to hang out with his friends. Although softhearted and perceived happy-go-lucky, Jy's stern personality shows through during baseball competitions and research. The former baseball athlete now resides at España Boulevard, Sampaloc, Manila with his little furball named Sterling, a Shih Tzu puppy he had adopted during his Chemist Licensure Board Examinations.Currently, Jy works at the University of Santo Tomas - Research Complex for Natural and Applied Sciences as a Research Analyst for a contract-based research project. He had finished his part-time instructor stint for Analytical Chemistry and General Biochemistry subjects for non-Biochemistry majors. After his work from the complex, he is in charge of the research and development of a winery distillery owned by the older brother of his close friend, Miah.
